I'm a desperate sugar addict. I read, Fat Chance, by Robert Lustig. He also has a Youtube video with his lecture on how bad sugar is for people. Another older book he cites is, Pure, White and Deadly by John Yudkin. Interesting reading. Good luck. I think I need more than luck---maybe a miracle. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373309710888796550.post-25879438046894083932014-04-24T18:22:07.691-04:002014-04-24T18:22:07.691-04:00Thanks for the recommendation--I'll check it o...Thanks for the recommendation--I'll check it out! So far I'm just in the first 'taper down the sugar' week. I go cold turkey next week. I'm definitely eating less sugar than usual, but I feel fine, but we'll see how I do next week. Glad to hear your experience!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06141946094101529553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7373309710888796550.post-12563470227647808342014-04-24T18:02:42.609-04:002014-04-24T18:02:42.609-04:00Hi Steph, I just had to comment: I too have given ...Hi Steph, I just had to comment: I too have given up sugar, for many months now, and I feel great. I no longer crave it, and my body is so much happier. Another really interesting book I highly recommend is Pam Peake's (She's a medical doctor) The Hunger Fix. She gives excellent explanations of what's going on chemically in your brain to make you want to eat.the.whole.thing. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you! MargaretAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
